    They will work together to relaunch INTA’s Pro Huerta Program, which was implemented successfully between 2006 and 2015. With the participation of IICA specialists, the two institutions aim to improve the food security situation in the Caribbean country.
  • Brazilian Fernando Camargo takes office as IICA’s new Representative in Argentina, at a ceremony attended by two ministers

    In this new position, Camargo will seek to strengthen Mercosur’s agricultural agenda and integration between Argentina and Brazil, South America’s top two food producers. Camargo, who holds degrees in Law and Public Administration, as well as a Master’s in Business Management, has extensive experience in the public sector, particularly in agricultural matters.
  • Five thousand students from Argentine agrotechnical schools to be trained in digital technologies through Agroedutec, a program promoted by the Argentine government and developed by IICA in collaboration with Microsoft, Bayer and the World Bank

    The initiative seeks to develop digital skills in young people in order to carry out projects tied to the different productive environments of each area of the country. During the first phase, the program will benefit high school juniors and seniors in the provinces of Buenos Aires, Córdoba and Tucumán.
