    In partnership with CONAZA, Mexico’s Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Office of the Mayor of the Dr. Arroyo Municipality in Nuevo León, IICA is undertaking projects for water infrastructure rehabilitation and maintenance, among other initiatives.

    At a meeting with IICA Director General Manuel Otero and IICA’s Representative in Mexico, Diego Montenegro Ernst, SENASICA Director in Chief Javier Calderón Elizalde said that the partnership has been vital in protecting the agriculture sector in Mexico and throughout the Americas, and in strengthening the safe production and trade of healthy and safe foods.

  • “Leader of Rurality” Mexican agronomist to promote projects for small-scale rural farmers together with IICA

    Mexican agronomist Gabriela Lucas will work together with IICA through the Center for Innovation on Small-Scale Sustainable Agriculture (CIASPE), which she founded. Joint work will be geared towards assisting small-scale producers who require projects and best practices to improve soils and boost the food security and income of their communities.
