  • Fourth edition of the Regional Water Dialogues will be held in Costa Rica

    The annual meeting, organized by ECLAC and IICA, will take place from March 11 to 13 at the latter's Headquarters in San José. High-level officials from Latin America and the Caribbean are expected to take part.
  • WTO and IICA launch a manual for negotiators at a Ministerial Conference in Abu Dhabi and strengthen joint efforts to promote multilateralism in agrifood trade

    It was launched during the 13th WTO Ministerial Conference in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, thereby reaffirming the long history of collaboration between both organizations to support member governments of the WTO system, in particular in the field of agriculture, including agricultural negotiations and sanitary and phytosanitary measures.
  • At the UN Environment Assembly, in which IICA took part, experts underscored the fact that dairy production can help combat climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution

    The IICA took part in one of the Assembly’s panel discussions, organized by the International Dairy Federation and the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), in collaboration with the U.S. Dairy Exporters Council (USDEC), the National Dairy Development Board of India, the International Dairy Research Institute, and the Environmental Defense Fund.

    The topmost decision-making body of the WTO, the guardian of the rules-based world trade system, the Conference is made up of representatives of all member countries, usually the ministers of trade or their equivalent.
