David C. Hatch meets with Agricultural Minister of Ecuador



On December 3rd, 2009, David C. Hatch met with the Honorable Dr. Ramon L. Espinel, Minister of Agriculture of Ecuador to discuss support to the government’s development of an agriculture insurance program based on best practices.  Among the topics discussed was the feasibility of a two year pilot program focused on access for small farmers that will include corn and rice and potato.  Agriculture insurance is an essential risk management tool for the Americas.
