IICA commenced operations in Guyana in 1975, during which time it has implemented several projects in the country. The projects that have been undertaken have been funded either directly with IICA quota contributions and in collaboration with other development partners.  The projects have been aligned with IICA’s key thematic areas which are:

• Competitiveness, production and agricultural markets
• Agriculture, territories and rural well being
• Agriculture, natural resources and climate change
• Agriculture and food security
