Mr Joseph Peltier assumed the post of IICA Representative in Barbados on February 01, 2008.
Mr Peltier is a national of Dominica. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, and a Master's degree in Development Economics from Boston College.
Mr Peltier has broad experiences in Organic Farming, Planning Project and Farm Management, and Marketing of Agricultural Products. He has a long and distinguished professional career as Regional Specialist, Sustainable Rural Development, IICA Caribbean Region, Regional Coordinator of the United Nations Development Programme, Director, 4-Dominica Ltd, Director of Agriculture with the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Ministry of Agriculture & the Environment and Lecturer, Department of Economics, University of Guyana.
Mr Peltier is the author of numerous publications, books, technical reports and other documents related to his area of expertise.
