The U.S. Farm Bill and its impact on the WTO agricultural negotiations
 

The U.S. Farm Bill enacted in mid-2008 for a five-year period could have a negative impact on the Doha Round of the WTO trade negotiations that got under way in 2001 and has yet to be concluded, mainly due to the difficulties involved in reaching a consensus on agricultural issues.
